Wildlife
The Jungle Eco Reserve is extremely rich in wildlife. Two species of sloths are abundant on the properly. Manatees are spotted frequently in Lake Gatun. Small calf’s with their mothers show up in late summer. There is a wide variety of other mammals.
We have a spot in Lake Gatun where countless baby caimans can be seen during our night tours. We have many other types of reptiles, and amphibians, including the rare caecilians.
Hundreds of different species of birds can be observed on and from our reserve, including over 50 species of waterfowl.
Our trail made of stone steps along the shores of Lake Gatun is more than two kilometers long. This makes our reserve the prime location to observe wildlife, waterfowl, and any other species of birds.
